On the main Algarve road (EN 125) between Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António, exit at Conceição the Tavira towards Cabanas ( roundabout with a sculpture of a golf player).
Turn left by the sign indicating Monte Velho and Praia. Go straight ahead, pass at the left side of a road narrowing sign pannel and, after that, a pannel indicating Barroca.
Continue straight ahead until you reach a farm gate, and after passing it, turn right near the electricity pole on the right side of the road, reaching the portal of the fort 50 meters away.
